Producer Hazard Assessment Tool

Canadian Agricultural Safety Week (CASW) is an annual campaign held the third week of March of each year. Safe & Strong Farms is a three-year campaign celebrating farm safety across Canada. The aim of the campaign is to empower farmers, farm families and farming communities to build, grow, and lead the agricultural industry in safety and sustainability.

This was developed for Canadian Ag Safety Week in 2020. The objective of this tool is to act as a resource to provide producers with a way to document hazards present in a workplace, as well as rank hazard controls according to likelihood and severity, and recommend hazard controls using a decision tree. This will help to ensure a safer working environment and provide a level of due diligence for all involved.
