Projects and Initiatives
Everyone working towards continued improvements in the sustainability of the Canadian beef industry is invited to contribute to our comprehensive Projects & Initiatives Database. The information collected will be used to map progress against the CRSB’s National Beef Sustainability Strategy, foster collaboration, promote innovation, and facilitate knowledge sharing among our community.
By submitting your projects and initiatives you open up opportunities to showcase your work and achievements, connect with peers, and increase the reach and influence of your projects.
The submission process is designed to gather essential details about your project or initiative. Upon submission, your project will be reviewed by CRSB staff and members of our Scientific Advisory Committee for completeness, relevance, and methods. Upon approval, it will be added to our database where it will be used to connect and inform members across the Canadian beef industry and map our collective progress against the CRSB National Beef Sustainability Strategy.
Requests for CRSB Involvement
CRSB will consider projects or initiatives requesting CRSB consultation, review or other involvement based on the specifics of your request, the nature of the project or initiative, and how well it meets the following criteria:
- Explicit alignment with the CRSB National Beef Sustainability Strategy (2024-2030)
- Contributes to meeting the CRSB Research Priorities and Recommendations.
- Contributes to Certified Sustainable Beef Framework indicators or other sustainability performance or impact indicators being measured.
- Explicit alignment with the Canadian Beef Industry Goals to 2030
- Alignment with CRSB’s adoption of the GRSB Principles and Criteria for Defining Global Sustainable Beef
- Contributes to the Canadian beef value chain striving to be environmentally sound, socially responsible and economically viable.
Evaluations will also consider the availability of resources, membership status and alignment with the current CRSB Strategy and Business Plan, among other secondary criteria.
Projects and initiatives are submitted for consideration by completing the “Sustainability Projects & Initiatives” online submission form. This process will ensure that we receive complete and consistent information, regardless of the type of project or initiative, to streamline and advance the evaluation process in an effective and timely manner.
CRSB will respond via email to all submissions, to confirm receipt and communicate next steps in the evaluation process.
Organizations or individuals that have received a final decision from CRSB may submit new requests via the approved submissions process. However, re-submissions of a request for the same or similar project or initiative will not be considered.
Questions regarding the submission form can be directed to projects@crsb.ca.
