The Manitoba Watershed District Program is a provincial-municipal partnership directed to the conservation and management of water and soil resources. The vision of the Assiniboine West Watershed District is to see a landscape that is capable of supporting our environmental, economic and social well being for now and into the future. The AWWD includes the area from the Trans Canada Highway north to Riding Mountain National Park, from the east side of Riding Mountain to the Saskatchewan border, and the region west of Riding Mountain north to Duck Mountain Provincial Park. District offices are located in Miniota, Oak River and Inglis. Services offered: Seed drill rental, Stream crossings, Pipeline plow, high-density pipeline and fittings supply & alternative watering systems, Riparian exclusion fencing, Erosion control assessment and construction, Grassed buffer strips, Shelterbelts & tree supply, Pollinator Habitat, Small dam construction, Surveying, Aerial and Lidar analysis of vulnerable areas, Best management practices workshops, Wetland management and protection, Soil health management, Abandoned well sealing, ALUS Canada program delivery, Manitoba Government's Growing Outcomes in Watersheds (GROW) program delivery.
