“Sometimes what you thought was the problem, is actually the solution.”
Following over a year of successful film festivals and special screenings and events, the powerful documentary entitled Guardians of the Grasslands is now available to the public.
The film showcases the important connection between conserving Canada’s endangered grasslands ecosystem and the benefits provided by grazing cattle on those lands, managed by Canadian beef producers.
The film was created through a partnership between the Public and Stakeholder Engagement Program at Canadian Cattlemen’s Association, Ducks Unlimited Canada and Nature Conservancy of Canada, with filming by Ben Wilson and Sarah Wray at StoryBrokers Media House, and filmed at the Waldron Ranch in southern Alberta – one of the largest tracks of native grassland left in Canada.
A launch event was hosted on May 4, with an engaging discussion featuring Karla Guyn, CEO at Ducks Unlimited Canada, Catherine Grenier, President and CEO of Conservation de la nature Canada, rancher Ben Campbell and UN climate activist Steven Lee, hosted by Sarah Wray of StoryBrokers.

We encourage you to share this wonderful piece that showcases beef sustainability in action with your stakeholders, customers, consumers and in your social channels.
