The AgSafe Alberta Society is a producer-led organization dedicated to enhancing the safety culture on farms and ranches across Alberta. By offering a range of practical resources and advisory services, the society helps agricultural operations implement effective and tailored safety plans. Available resources include Quickstart guides, a Risk Assessment Tool, AgSafe Alberta Advisors, and Safety Training Courses.

A cornerstone of their initiatives is the updated FarmSafe Plan manual and online training modules. These resources have been refined to improve usability and support producers in developing comprehensive safety strategies. The manual is accessible here, and the accompanying training program is available here.

Another key program is FARMERS CARE, which emphasizes practical approaches to reducing injuries on farms and ranches. This program covers the major causes of injuries and provides actionable steps for integrating safety measures into daily operations. FARMERS CARE comprises four levels, with the recently launched Level 4 being promoted this fall through a giveaway of UFA gift cards. Producers can begin their journey with Level 1 here.

For larger operations that require health and safety representatives or committees, AgSafe Alberta has developed specialized training programs to meet these needs. These programs are designed to address the complexities of larger-scale operations and can be accessed here.

Through these initiatives, AgSafe Alberta continues to provide tools and training that empower producers to foster safer work environments. Their commitment to safety ensures the well-being of everyone involved in farming and ranching activities.
