CRSB Seeks Environmental Intern

The Canadian Roundtable for Sustainable Beef (CRSB) invites applications for an eight-month term position as Environmental Intern. Please note that funding for the position is pending approval.

The Environmental Intern will support two of the CRSB’s pillars of work: 1. Sustainability Benchmarking and 2. Verification Framework. The organization recently completed a National Beef Sustainability Assessment and Strategy, which benchmarked the sustainability performance of the Canadian beef industry and set a strategy for continual improvement. The Verification Framework is a national verification scheme that will enable producers and primary processors to demonstrate sustainability on their operations via an on-site audit, enable sustainable sourcing by end users, and support consistent messaging and communication about the sustainability of beef to consumers.

The Environmental Intern will have three key responsibilities that support the CRSB in the completion of the Verification Framework and future refinements to the National Beef Sustainability Assessment and Strategy.
