CRSB Executive Director Fawn Jackson appointed to Federal Species at Risk Advisory Committee

Fawn Jackson, CRSB Executive Director & Canadian Cattlemen’s Association Manager, Environment and Sustainability, has been appointed to the newly established Species at Risk Advisory Committee.

The committee is comprised of a diverse group of experts to provide advice on how to work together to continuously improve the implementation of the Species at Risk Act. Jackson was in Ottawa last week to participate in the first set of SARAC meetings which included a roundtable hosted by Environment and Climate Change Minister Catherine McKenna.

“It is excellent to work with this network of passionate and knowledgeable individuals who have various areas of expertise and are all striving towards the common goal of conserving Canada’s rich biodiversity,” Jackson said.
